New York City Bronx Councilmember Ritchie Torres endorsed Bernie Sanders for President. Torres said Sanders went with him, twice, to visit Housing projects to talk about the issue.

Torres said of Sanders, “I do believe he represents a singular phenomenon in progressive politics.”
“He’s made inequality, urban poverty the centerpiece of progressive politics of the Presidential election,” Torres told host Lawrence O’Donnell.
Torres says the Presidential candidate born in Brooklyn is energizing young people “to an extent I’ve never seen before”.
